Fast Drying Enamel Black :


Conical Mandral bend Test: 10 mm diameter with180º mandrel using – no sign of crack.

Adhesion / Hardness: Pendulum hardness Rockers with al load of 1000 grams from the height 200 mm – 1000 mm , 20 mm impactor – passes.

Scratch Tester: Test are conducted either on a go / no go basis using a single specified or by increasing load 100 grams to 2000 grams – passes.

Cross Hatch cutter : 2 mm spaces between cutting edges – passes

Pencil Hardness : B , HB etc. - passes

Corrosion Test : Minimum 500 hrs temperature is adjustable(Salt spray cabinet)from ambient to 35 º C for steady state control – passes.

Humidity Test : Very high humidities ( › 95% RH ) at user adjustable temperatures. ( up to 55 º C ) – passes.

Lubricant Test : Painted metal panels dipped in to HSD oil in oven and maintained the temperature up to 40 to 60 º C for 72 to 96 hrs –passes.

Recommended use

On metallic surfaces, especially suited for heavy equipments, vehicle etc, especially for defense purpose.

Description :


Industrial Fast drying enamel black based on synthetic pigmented is recommended for finishing body fenders or other exterior or interior parts of automobiles. These materials are super quality fast dry enamel & based on styreneted alkyd resins and are ideal for finishing of transport equipments which are operated under varied climatic conditions. This range of products will have very good gloss, flexibility, hardness, exterior durability and resistance to kerosene, diesel oil, petrol, other automobile lubricants and water.

Application Procedure:

Application method: Brush, Roller or Spray.

Thinning (Volume): 30 % depending on the method of application.

Thinner : Tollens Stoving Thinner

Airless Spray Requirements : Tip – 2200 PSI / 0.015" – 0.020"

Conv. Spray Requirements : Atomizing pressure: 50 PSI

Recommended System:

1. Medium lusture primer surfacer grey or red oxide. One coat has to thinned to a viscosity of 12-15 seconds in ford cup no-4. 2. Two coats are to be sprayed with an interval of 8-10 minutes between the coats on properly pretreated surface. 3. After allowing a flash off time of 5-8 minutes, the primer is baked at a metal temp of 130ºc-140ºc for 30 minutes. After cooling to room temp, the components are ready for assembly.
